Drake Addresses Claim ‘Scorpion’ Is His Worst Album appeared on v1019.com by Autumn Hawkins.
LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA – OCTOBER 30: Drake attends Drake’s Till Death Do Us Part rap battle on October 30, 2021 in Long Beach, California.
When discussing Drake’s discography, 2018’s Scorpion usually ends up at the bottom of fans’ favorite Drizzy albums. A podcast began discussing which are some of Drake’s best albums putting Take Care, Views, and Nothing Was The Same as top contenders for the crown. However, when the conversation moved to which was the worst in Drake’s catalog, all of the hosts agreed that Scorpion belongs in the last seed.
However, one of the hosts still gave Drizzy some props for his work on Scorpion. “If you compare him to other artists, this is probably still a better album than many people’s albums,” the host explained.
The clip got the attention of the 6God as he hopped into the Instagram video’s comment section to argue that Scorpion was his worst album. “‘Gods Plan,’ ‘In My Feelings,’ ‘Nice For What,’ ‘Nonstop,’ ‘Jaded,’ ‘Is There More,’ ‘Sandra’s Rose,’ ‘That’s How You Feel,’ ‘Emotionless’…… slappppps on [Scorpio emoji],” he wrote.
Scorpion was released as a double album in 2018. The lead single “God’s Plan” landed Drake a win for Best Rap Song at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.
Last February in an interview with TSN, Drizzy told the outlet how The Notorious B.I.G’s classic double album Life After Death inspired Scorpion.
“Notorious B.I.G. put this album out, and the ratio of songs versus just important songs was so incredible that I wanted to set a challenge for myself,” he said. “You know, I hate to age myself, but I’ve been doing this for like 10-plus years as well. Sometimes you gotta set a little target goal for yourself just to keep it interesting.”
