Taylor Swift’s fans were out for blood when they saw Emma Laird posted a photo of the singer’s ex Joe Alwyn on social media Tuesday.
The actress ignited the vitriol by including an image of her “The Brutalist” co-star on a scooter in a slideshow on Instagram that featured several other people.
Laird, 24, captioned the post, “Moments in March???.”
Some Swifties went so far as to believe that Alwyn’s appearance in the carousel meant that he was dating his castmate.
“We love you for ending taylor and joe’s relationship,” one anonymous troll wrote in the comments section.
“Now THIS is suspicious. Especially if it’s true that she’s liking things posted about Taylor&Joe’s breakup. ? It seems like she wants attention. Well, now she finally got it,” another tweeted.
The hate appears to have gotten so intense that Laird turned off the comments on her post. Her rep did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
Swift has not spoken out about her fans’ recent behavior either, and her rep also did not immediately respond to our request.
However, several Swifties have turned on their fellow fandom for “bullying” Laird.
“Swifties attacking Emma Laird need to touch grass,” one person tweeted. “Like you’re seriously speculating that Joe cheated on Taylor with no actual evidence whatsoever and are sending her hate? Find a damn job or a hobby. Something.”
A second fan wrote, “Some ‘swifties’ scare me… emma laird having to turn off her instagram comment section bc of rumors swirling that joe cheated on taylor with her is heartbreaking to me.”

On April 8, Page Six confirmed that Swift, 33, and Alwyn, 32, had broken up after six years together, but infidelity was not given as the reason for the split.
“It wasn’t dramatic,” a source told us at the time. “[The relationship] just ran its course.”
Since calling it quits, the former couple have resumed their regular routines.
Alwyn has been in Hungary filming for “The Brutalist” with Laird and their co-stars Adrien Brody, Felicity Jones and Guy Pearce.
Meanwhile, Swift has been on her sold-out Eras Tour and spending time with close friends, including Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, on her days off.
