$440M Rich Adam Sandler Beat Tom Cruise, Jackie Chan, Robert Downey Jr In Highest Paid Actors List Despite Having No Major Franchises To His Name – FandomWire appeared on fandomwire.com by FandomWire.
Known to be funny and overall a blast to watch on the big or the small screen, Adam Sandler has been part of numerous films that have given the audience a reason to laugh their guts out or cry their hearts out. This just goes to show how dynamic the star can be with his roles, something that has helped him tremendously in his career.
And with his particular skillset in the industry, the star has been compensated handsomely with every project of his that he helped turned into a blockbuster. Although he might be taking it slow with his career after all these years, it doesn’t mean that the star isn’t raking in big cash. In the year 2017, Sandler became one of the top five highest-earning film stars of the year.
Adam Sandler Beat Many High-Profile Stars To Become One Of The Highest-Paid Actors!
From being a natural-born comedian to a versatile actor, an esteemed producer, and a prolific singer and musician, you can think about it, Adam Sandler has done almost everything that the Hollywood industry had to offer and then some. With such a dynamic and varied set of talents, it’s no wonder that the Happy Gilmore star is paid huge sums of money as compensation for his contributions, so much so that he became one of the highest-paid actors of 2017.

While Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson might’ve ruled this list by sitting at the top in the past, 2017 was the year when Mark Wahlberg beat him to become the number one with a whopping $68 Million. Following Johnson, who was second on the list with $65 Million, were other stars like Vin Deisel ($54.5 Million), Adam Sandler ($50.5 Million), Jackie Chan ($49 Million), Robert Downey Jr. ($48 Million), Tom Cruise ($43 Million), Shah Rukh Khan ($38 Million), Salman Khan ($37 Million), and Akshay Kumar ($35.5 Million) making the top ten list.
While many people might be surprised to see the Uncut Gems star higher on the list than Chan, Downey Jr., and Cruise, it’s actually quite easy to explain how the star was paid so much. 2017 proved to be the golden goose for Sandler as he signed an estimated $250 Million deal with the streaming giant Netflix for a four-movie contract. This turned out to roughly translate to almost $62 Million per film. Along with this, he also starred in three different films in the same year.
Thus, this helped the star climb the ladder of financial success to get the title of one of the highest-paid actors, which added to his $440 Million net worth.

What Has Adam Sandler Been Upto Recently?
While he might’ve decided to take it slow with his big-screen appearances, Sandler is making his presence felt on the small screen nonetheless. Sticking to his gargantuan deal with Netflix, the actor recently starred in the streaming giant’s original sequel Murder Mystery 2, which was the sequel to 2019’s original mystery/thriller. The reviews range from fantastic to unimpressed, which is something that fans can gauge on their own after watching the film.
