Sony is starting 2023 strong with its recently announced list of titles that will be coming to PlayStation Plus in January. There are some big names included on the list, particularly from the sci-fi and shooter genres, that are sure to please many players. With PlayStation’s expanded subscription options, different games will be made available to players depending on if they subscribe to the Essential, Extra, or Premium tier of PlayStation Plus.
This strong start of 2023 follows a solid lineup of PlayStation Plus games from December 2022 that rounded out the year nicely. The month was full of a wide variance of new options that spanned many different genres, from two entries in the Yakuza series and multiple Far Cry games to management sim Evil Genius 2 and fighter Divine Knockout. Just as last month offered a little something for everyone, so too does January, with many strong titles becoming available for PlayStation Plus subscribers soon.
Every Game Coming To PlayStation Plus In January 2023
Some of January 2023’s games were revealed by PlayStation on Twitter, followed up by a PlayStation Blog post elaborating on the offerings. Subscribers from the PS Plus Essential tier will receive three games: Metroidvania sequel Axiom Verge 2, adventure game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and online RPG Fallout 76. Subscribers of PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium will receive additional games depending on the tier, slated to be announced soon by PlayStation.

PlayStation Plus Is Starting 2023 Strong For Players
Subscribers of all levels will be starting 2023 strong with these offering from PlayStation Plus. Many who suspected Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order may come to the service after the announcement of its sequel have been proven right, with the sci-fi title arriving alongside two other beloved games. Even for players who aren’t Star Wars fans, January’s lineup is quite strong, especially considering the many recent updates Fallout 76 has received and the positive reception of Axiom Verge 2.
This month’s games will provide many new opportunities to PlayStation Plus subscribers. Players who were intrigued by the new Star Wars Jedi: Survivor trailer who weren’t able to get their hands on the initial release will now have the opportunity to play it ahead of the sequel, and fans of the original Axiom Verge and other Fallout titles will have fun new options as well. More games are also in store for higher-tier subscription subscribers when the rest of the PlayStation Plus games are announced later this month.
