Cristiano Ronaldo posts inspirational message as he seeks his first goal for Al-Nassr appeared on talksport.com by Jake Lambourne.

Cristiano Ronaldo has insisted the ‘hard work never stops’ as he pushes himself to the limits during training in Saudi Arabia.

The 37-year-old is still awaiting his first goal for Al-Nassr since joining the Middle East outfit following his release by Manchester United.

Ronaldo has drawn a blank in his opening two matches for Rudi Garcia’s side.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was mocked by Al-Ittihad fans last week as they sang Lionel Messi’s name during their 3-1 victory over Al-Nassr in their Saudi Super Cup semi-final clash.

And Ronaldo, who has been appointed Al-Nassr captain, is looking to get his team back to winning ways against Al Fateh on Friday.

He has shared a number of snaps on Instagram of him working out in the gym as well as on the pitch.

Captioning his post, he simply said: “Hard work never stops.”

Al-Nassr currently sit top of the Saudi Pro League after 14 games – one point ahead of rivals Al-Hilal.

Ronaldo revealed earlier this month how his ‘work in Europe is done’, after winning titles in Portugal, England, Spain and Italy.

But his new boss Garcia has declared that the centre-forward will return to the continent to finish his career.

Quoted by Marca, he remarked: “Cristiano Ronaldo is a positive addition, as he helps to disperse defenders.

“He is one of the best players in the world. He will not finish his career at Al-Nassr, he will return to Europe.”

Garcia has also told his squad to avoid constantly passing the ball to Ronaldo as it is to the detriment of the team.

He stated: “It is very important that the players play normally and don’t always try to give Cristiano the ball.

“I told them they had to make the right decisions on the field. Obviously, when Cristiano or Talisca are alone and ask for the ball, we have to give them the ball.

“These two players are capable of making a difference. I think sometimes we had good crossing positions, but there were not enough people in the box, sometimes not Ronaldo or Talisca.

“We have to work on it, have one of them in the area and maybe the other will play outside the area.”
