‘Another Big Name’: Tiger Wood Welcomes 7th Family Member to His Famous Tech-Infused Golf League appeared on www.essentiallysports.com by EssentiallySports.
Tiger Woods has been working towards the next generation of golf. Partnering with Rory McIlroy, the golf legend has started TMWR Sports, which focuses on the advancement and development of sports. The company has also given rise to the TGL golf league, which combines tech and golf for the PGA Tour pros. Six players had previously confirmed their place in the 18-player league. And now Woods thanks yet another for his allegiance.
The TGL starts in January next year. They have also partnered up with the PGA Tour and have team events, meaning only Tour players will be involved in the tech infusion. And now only 11 more spots remain.

The 15-time PGA Tour winner took to Instagram and posted a story expressing his excitement about the Englishman joining the cohort of the TGL. “Excited to welcome another big name to an already star-studded line up for @tglgolfleague: reigning U.S. Open champion @Mattfitz94,” he wrote. “See you on Monday nights in primetime next year.”
Woods is certainly excited to have the current world No. 10 on board. He’s the latest addition to the virtual golf league that will be played on a simulator. Fitzpatrick confirmed his place on the TGL not too long ago on a live Instagram video.
The golf pro also stated that he was looking forward to playing team golf. “I’m excited,” he announced, going live with Rick Shiels. “To be able to play some virtual golf, to compete with the best guys out there, it’s going to be something different and exciting,” he stated. The 2022 US Open champion is undoubtedly hoping to win the TGL throughout its 15-week run.

Aside from its owners, Woods and McIlroy, the virtual league has four other Tour players on its “star-studded” roster. One of them is also the man of the hour, Jon Rahm, who has been on an incredible run on the Tour of late. Justin Thomas, the 2022 PGA Championship winner, is on the list too.
Along with two of the reigning major champions, Adam Scott and Collin Morikawa have also announced their participation in the 2024 simulator league. The league will consist of six teams of three players each, competing for a win every Monday.
