Pplpleasr Directs New Linkin Park Music Video – NFT Plazas appeared on nftplazas.com by Basil.

In celebration of the 20th anniversary since the release of its second album Meteora, Linkin Park has released a new music video whose main director is highly acclaimed NFT artist, Pplpleasr. The “Lost” song was recorded during the sessions for “Meteora,” which came out in 2003, but it was never released.

Lost, which was released on Linkin Park’s official YouTube channel last Friday, shows how far the band has come since its early days. Most of its members are involved with the next wave of the internet, and this strongly reflects on the music video.

The video is directed by Emily “pplpleasr” Yang and Maciej Kuciara, both co-founders of Web3 video platform, Shibuya, and features Mirai, the lead character of Shibuya’s NFT based anime web series. “White Rabbit.”

The Lost video credits Shibuya as the production company of the animated video, where Kaiber, an AI startup, is also listed as the support studio. For those in the dark, Kaiber is an AI studio that will allow you to generate animated video footage based on the details you enter.

As for Shibuya, it’s a video platform that allows users to purchase Ethereum NFT producer passes that allow them to vote on the kind of content they would like to see created. This content is always free to view; however, only NFT holders have the power to shape the narrative.

There Might Be More Content Based On This Linkin Park Music Video

That said, “White Rabbit” is Shibuya’s first project. It’s interesting to see its main character Mirai featured on the new Linkin Park music video. However, it’s not clear if there will be additional content around this collaboration, such as merchandise and NFTs.

The collaboration comes as no surprise to anyone who has followed the Linkin Park artists, as some of them are heavily involved with Web3. For instance, Mike Shinoda, the lead vocalist, is heavily invested in the space. He has already released several NFT projects, such as artwork and a mixtape dubbed Ziggurats. In addition to being an avid collector of NFTs and investing in startups within the NFT space.
