We here at Stand for Israel are big fans of musicals, and Fiddler on the Roof is among our favorites. So it is with sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Topol, the Israeli actor and singer most famous for his role as Tevye, a Jewish father and milkman in turn-of-the-century Ukraine, facing the poverty and anti-Semitism still faced today by so many.
But thanks to the God-given talents he shared with the world, Topol left us all so much richer and more enlightened. May his memory be a blessing.
