New system set to combat WA’s ‘doctor shopping’ crisis appeared on thewest.com.au by The West Australian.
A new “real-time monitoring” system is being rolled out to thousands of WA doctors and pharmacies in an effort to combat the State’s prescription drug addiction crisis.
Described as a game changer in tackling so-called “doctor shopping”, it has won the support of Kim Ledger, whose Oscar-winning son Heath died from an accidental prescription drug overdose in 2008.
