Actress Amy Schumer saw the movie barbie over the weekend and shared his impressions on his Instagram account. Schumer, who turned down the lead role due to creative differences, praised the result.

Schumer was involved in the original film project, which was announced in 2016 with a script by Hilary Winston (“Bad Teacher”) and production by Sony Pictures. Schumer’s version was described as a story in which Barbie was kicked out of Barbieland for not being perfect enough, leading her on an adventure in the real world. It was supposed to launch in 2018.
She announced her exit from the project in 2017 citing scheduling conflicts, but only in 2022 did she accept the real reason for leaving the role. She told The Hollywood Reporter, “They certainly didn’t want to do it the way I wanted, the way I was interested in doing it.”
