Classic PlayStation game loved by Marvel fans ’now worth $400’ appeared on www.the-sun.com by Jona Jaupi.
CLASSIC Spider-Man games for the original PlayStation have soared in value.
Gone are the days of grabbing PlayStation 1 video games at your local Blockbuster or Game Stop.
And today, sealed copies of certain titles in good condition can earn you hundreds, or even thousands of dollars online.
Old video games can increase in value for a number of reasons, the most common being scarcity.
This is especially the case with video games through the early 00s that were not widely produced.
Unlike today’s downloadable games, physical copies from the PS1 era were produced in much smaller quantities.
In one insane sale, an excellent-condition Sonic the Hedgehog video game sold for over $400,000, per DenofGeek.com.
While you likely won’t get that much money, you can earn a few bucks by selling some Spiderman for the PS1, according to PriceCharting.com.
SPIDERMAN
Spiderman is an action-advenutre games based on the Marvel comics.
It was released in 2000and developed by Neversoft and published by Activision for the PlayStation.
In loose condition (just the game), the title can rake in a nice price of $15.18.
Complete in the box (CIB), the game can go for around $40.
Meanwhile, the game in new condition can earn the seller around $400.
ADDITIONAL TITLE
Final Fantasy VII is a 1997 role-playing video game developed by Square for the PlayStation.
And a special misprint version of the title can score sellers a nice chunk of change, according to PriceCharting.com.
The title in loose condition can sell for around $52.
Complete in the box, the title can earn around $59.13.
However, in new condition, the game can get sellers a whopping $6,100.
