LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – From a lock of hair to a watch worn during his time in Germany, fans of Elvis Presley will have a new stop to make while visiting Las Vegas.
The Westgate Las Vegas is unveiling a new memorabilia collection as part of the 55th anniversary of the first of Elvis Presley’s 636 consecutive sold-out performances at the International Theater.
The exhibit features memorabilia curated from the private collection of Westgate Resorts CEO Jim Gissy. Some of the collectibles included Elvis’s army watch, the shoes worn during his last performance at the International Theater, an original vinyl debut single “That’s All Right” recorded and released in July 1954, and a lock of his hair, according to the Westgate.
The collection will be unveiled on Wednesday, July 31, and will open daily, free to the public inside the resort’s main lobby at the front entrance to the hotel.
