Car Stolen At Kenny Chesney Concert Involved In Fatal Accident

After allegedly stealing a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee parked outside a Kenny Chesney concert in Massachusetts, a man slammed the SUV into a family’s car, killing a child. This is the sort of tragic event which occurs thanks in part to car theft far too often.

Confronting a car thief, a Tennessee man was shot at recenty.

Big events like sports games, concerts, etc. can be prime hunting grounds for car thieves. After all, they know about how long they have to prowl around and find a vehicle they can take, plus there are plenty of options waiting nicely for them to look through.

In this case, the Hartford Courant says 42-year-old Michael Escolas of Oxford plowed right into the back of a Nissan Altima stopped at a red light on I-495 in Plainville at about 8:30 pm on August 24. A family of six was in the sedan, a 10-year-old girl dying of injuries sustained in the crash.

Five cars were damaged in the collision. Escolas was arrested by troopers who were working at the Kenny Chesney concert, which was held at Gillette Stadium. Allegedly, the man was intoxicated at the time but still sustained injuries of his own in the crash he caused.

The five other members of the family who were in the Nissan Altima, both parents and three other children, were also hospitalized with various injuries. Their identities were withheld by the authorities.

If you think car theft isn’t going to affect you unless your ride is stolen by someone, you could be dead wrong. Many thieves drive recklessly at high speeds, sometimes while intoxicated, because they feel rules don’t apply to them.

All it takes is one of them ramming into your vehicle or one with loved ones of yours in it and everything about your life could change instantly.
