Ed Sheeran's guitar and Ipswich Town shirts to be auctioned off appeared on www.bbc.com by BBC News.
A limited edition electric guitar is among 200 items global superstar Ed Sheeran has donated to an auction in aid of a hospice and young adult service.
People can also bid on the Suffolk singer’s Ipswich Town Football Club shirts, merchandise clothing from his tours, and even his trainers.
The event is being held by Bishop & Miller Auctioneers at 19 Charles Industrial Estate in Stowmarket at 19:00 BST on Thursday.
Money raised from the Sheerhan’s collection will go to St Elizabeth Hospice in Ipswich and its young adult service, Zest. The charity has thanked him for his “amazing generosity”.
“We’d like to thank Ed for his amazing generosity in donating such a fantastic series of items for the auction,” said Clare Chater, director of income at the hospice.
“It’s a truly unique opportunity for all Ed Sheeran fans.
“Our thanks also go to Bishop & Miller for hosting the auction, which will raise vital funds to support our services.
“Annually, our hospice team supports thousands of people throughout East & Mid Suffolk, Great Yarmouth & Waveney.
“We’re reliant on donations and fundraising to continue our work, and every penny raised by the auction will make a difference to those under our care.”
Several notable items are expected to fetch hundreds of pounds during the auction.
The Bad Habits star’s Fernandes Zo-3 Pokémon-themed limited edition electric guitar is expected to make between £500 and £1,000.
The guitar depicts the Pokémon character Pikachu on a yellow background.
An Ipswich Town away shirt from the 2021/22 season is also available that has “Sheeran” and the number 17 on the back.
The auctioneers expect this will fetch up to £80, while a similar Galway Gaelic football shirt could bring in between £30 and £50.
Several different tops from Sheeran’s Divide Tour could also sell for around £50.
A sealed box of Apple AirPods Max with special packaging for the Asian Music Awards Show in 2021 is expected to fetch up to £400.
And two giant teddy bear toys will also be included in the auction, as well as The Hobbit Lego set.
Items can be viewed from 16:00 before the auction begins.
Managing director of Bishop & Miller Auctioneers, Oliver Miller, said the company was “proud” to be supporting St Elizabeth Hospice.
“We are expecting global interest in this auction as [Sheeran] is so well known in all corners of the world, so watch this space; who knows how far his objects will travel?
“So, if you are an Ed Sheeran fan and want to own a piece of something that he has owned, then this is the place to find them.”
