Olympia Ohanian is growing up with a flair that’s hard to miss! Whether she’s flipping pancakes with her dad, Alexis Ohanian, or getting hands-on in their fun cooking sessions, this adorable father-daughter duo always manages to steal hearts online. But recently, it was a picture of Olympia at the Athlos NYC event that had everyone talking. Fans couldn’t help but notice the striking resemblance between 7-year-old Olympia and her legendary mom, Serena Williams. And Alexis? The proud “business dad” couldn’t be happier about the sweet comparisons.

Olympia attended the grand opening of Athlos, NYC on Thursday along with her father Alexis Ohanian. They were seen spending some great time together and the 7-year-old in fact accompanied Ohanian during his interview sessions as well. But what caught the attention of the fans was a picture that was posted on the official Instagram account of Olympia. 

Taking to the social media platform, Olympia shared a picture of herself running on the track and field court and fans were quick to compare her to her mother. Responding to the picture, one user wrote, “She definitely has an athletic physique like her mama. ????” Interestingly, the Reddit co-founder did not seem offended by it as he turned self-critic while replying to this comment. “Thankfully ?,” Ohanian responded. This also signifies that Ohanian wishes his daughter to follow in the footsteps of her mother.

 Remember, the business mogul highlighted how different his and Williams’ childhood was comparatively. In a candid interview, Ohanian highlighted that he was not as disciplined as the tennis star who became a professional player when she was just 14. “I squandered so many hours because I didn’t appreciate the routine and the discipline because I was my own boss.” He further highlighted the influence that Serena had on him in improving his negative traits. 

“It didn’t hurt that my wife has lived an incredibly regimented life since she was a little kid, so she’s been an amazing influence and you just find a way to make it work.” With such situations in hand, Ohanian seems to be happy that his daughter is taking up a passion and lifestyle similar to her mother. Remember, many believe that Ohanian’s interest in women’s sports and his latest brainchild that has emerged in the form of Athlos NYC is also due to Williams and Olympia. 

For the unversed, the event is a novel, women-only track and field event through which Ohanian desires to bring a positive change in the lives of female athletes. He announced the beginning of the initiative in April this year and highlighted that his venture Seven Seven Six would invest directly in the event. Interestingly, Ohanian’s love for Olympia and Serena has continued to take center stage at the event.

Alexis Ohanian credits wife Serena Williams for contributions in Olympia’s upbringing

Alexis Ohanian has often highlighted how grateful he is to have Williams and his two daughters in his life. The affection once again took a spotlight during an interview at the Athlos NYC where the business dad could not help but sing praises for his wife and daughter. 

When quizzed about Olympia’s personality, Ohanian went in all around praises. “Olympia is easily the most amazing little human I have met and she’s a great big sister,” he said. Remember, Ohanian and Williams are blessed with two daughters. While the elder daughter Olympia was born in 2017, the younger Adira was welcomed by the couple in 2023. Continuing further, the entrepreneur also heaped praises on his wife. 

“The one credit that I gotta give, Serena is an amazing mom and one of the things we do is just really prioritize, just trying to show up for our kids, and it’s a great way to say take your daughter to work,” he added. For now, it would be interesting to see if more such adorable reactions and gestures emerge as the event in New York continues to unfold.
