Did Blake Shelton Play Toby Keith’s Iconic Guitar During CMHOF Tribute? [VIDEO] appeared on www.wbwn.com by B104 WBWN-FM.

Three artists were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, including John Anderson, Toby Keith, and James Burton.
The ceremony took place last Sunday, October 20th. Eric Church, Post Malone, and Blake Shelton all performed in honor of Toby Keith.
Blake used a guitar that resembled one of Toby Keith’s well-known American flag guitars during his performance. Was it actually Toby’s guitar? The answer is yes and no.
Takamine Guitars made four of Toby’s American Flag guitars. Toby had three of them and a Takamine employee named David Vincent, had the fourth. Vincent is a friend of both Blake and Toby. Blake asked Vincent if he could buy it to use to really honor Toby at the Hall of Fame ceremony in front of Toby’s family.
Blake explained how he ended up with the guitar, “And so that actually was the other one that Toby — he never got it, he probably never even knew it was made. I was able to get that and they went ahead and gave it to me, which is gonna be a prized possession for me for the rest of my life.”
Knowing Blake and Toby’s deep connection, Vincent just gave Blake the guitar. I feel like Blake’s connection with Toby is evident in his performance from that induction ceremony.
