PS4-Exclusive Games That Need To Come To The New PS Plus

The new version of PlayStation Plus combined with PlayStation Now is due to start rolling out soon and they should add these PS4 games to the service.

The PlayStation Plus service is due to be overhauled soon, with a new tiered system that will include PlayStation Now and retro titles from older PlayStation systems. The PlayStation Plus new version’s rollout won’t happen for Europe and North America until June, but it’s happening in select Asian countries in May. A few of the new PlayStation Now games have been revealed, yet there are some PS4 exclusives that have yet to appear on PlayStation Plus or PlayStation Now that should come to the service at launch.

The new version of PlayStation Plus will be sold in three tiers: PlayStation Plus Essential, PlayStation Plus Extra, and PlayStation Plus Premium. PlayStation Plus Essential is the same as the current version of PlayStation Plus, PlayStation Plus Extra adds PlayStation Now’s game selection and streaming services, and PlayStation Plus Premium will add a library of PS1, PS2, and PSP games. Current subscribers will be migrated to one of the three services at launch.

Sony has confirmed that the new version of PlayStation Plus is adding these big games: Death StrandingMarvel’s Spider-ManMarvel’s Spider-Man: Miles MoralesMortal Kombat 11, and Returnal. This suggests Sony has big plans for the service, especially in the face of growing competition from Xbox Game Pass. There are some great PS4 exclusives that should come to the new version of PlayStation Plus, in order to make it as appealing as possible to new subscribers, especially during its launch phase, when it will be getting the most attention from the audience.

Ghost Of Tsushima Should Be On The New PS Plus

One of the surprising omissions from the PlayStation Plus Collection, when it was announced, was Ghost of Tsushima, as it was one of the biggest PS4 exclusives and it would be a huge draw for the service. It was later revealed that Sony had more plans for Ghost of Tsushima, as a Director’s Cut was planned for the game, which added the Iki Island expansion, as well as a number of graphical and feature updates for the PS5 version. It would make sense for Sony to add the original version of Ghost of Tsushima to the new version of PlayStation Plus while giving fans the option to upgrade to the Director’s Cut at a discounted rate. Putting the Director’s Cut version of the game up on its own would also be awesome, but Sony likely won’t be that generous, as the Director’s Cut isn’t even a year old yet.

The Order 1886 Could Arrive On The New PS Plus

the order 1886 trademark renewed sequel hope

The Order 1886 had its trademark renewed in 2021, sparking hopes for a sequel, and what better way to get people hyped than to let them experience the original game on the new PS Plus service? The Order 1886 was one of the earliest PS4 exclusives, launching in 2015. The story follows the Knights of the Round Table, who have had their lifespan extended by a mysterious substance, as they battle monsters in Victorian-era London. The game received mixed reviews at launch, but one of the biggest flaws of the game at launch was its short runtime, taking roughly 6-8 hours to finish. In the era of Xbox Game Pass and shorter indie experiences that are packed with gameplay, a short runtime is no longer seen as a detriment, and a brief but enjoyable game would do well on a service like the New PS Plus tiers, possibly allowing people to have a second look at the game and reevaluate it years after its release.

Dreams Would Be Great On New PlayStation Plus

The Music Update for Dreams, adding new instruments and audio tools for players to use.

Dreams was highly-acclaimed at launch and its more impressive creations still pop up in the news from time to time. This is a game that allows players to make their own games and easily share them with the community. The issue is that a game like this needs a big community to keep people invested. If Dreams was added to PlayStation Plus, then it would create a surge of interest in the game and its endless possibilities, especially as it has been oddly absent from the PlayStation Plus Collection and PlayStation Now in the past.
