A classic PlayStation 2 game may finally be getting a remaster appeared on www.gamingbible.com by Sam Cawley.
It’s possible a popular, and rare, PlayStation 2 game could get a remaster for the PlayStation 5, apparently.
Given an odd lack of original AAA games on PlayStation consoles as of late, it’s no wonder fans are constantly pitching old games deserving of a remake or remaster.
We recently sat down with the cast of the Fallout live-action series, and asked who they’d snog, marry and irradiate if they were trapped in the wastelands, check out the video below
For the uninitiated, Rule Of Rose is a survival horror game that was released in 2006 for the PlayStation 2, and followed a teenager called Jennifer trapped in a terrifying world controlled by young girls.
Reception to the game was quite mixed, but over the years it’s become a bit of a cult classic, especially since physical copies are becoming increasingly rare and expensive, and if you don’t believe me look up the prices online.
However it’s believed a remaster of the game could be possible. A fan of the game, AestheticGamer, said in a post on Twitter that “the company that owns Rule Of Rose as an IP a few years ago held a survey asking which titles people would like to see, one of the options there was a Rule of Rose Remaster.”
Whether one actually happens or not is another question, and depends on how much fans of the game want one and how much they shout about it.
That being said, the least that could happen is the game being ported to the PlayStation 4/PlayStation 5 as part of the PlayStation Plus Premium line-up.
