Agile Hamptonites take on undergrowth to see Ed Sheeran’s A-list SiriusXM show appeared on pagesix.com by Mara Siegler.
The most determined Ed Sheeran fans in the Hamptons took on some Long Island undergrowth to see his show.
While the area is famously full of the One Percent, only the most serious A-Listers made it onto the guestlist for the Brit crooner’s SiriusXM show in Amagansett on Monday.
No lesser stars than Sir Paul McCartney, Michael J. Fox, Gwyneth Paltrow, Billy Joel, John Mayer and Jon Bon Jovi watched from a VIP section in the outdoor area of music venue Stephen Talkhouse. But it seems some extremely well-dressed, but invite-free fans managed to find a way to get in on the action with a little commando-course maneuvering.
Page Six spotted a number of preppy-looking folk who seemed to have beaten their way through some bushes to find a spot behind a perimeter fence that had been built at the well-known music bar specifically for the concert.
The spot was located right at the back of the stage, giving them unfettered views of Sheeran’s rear while being close enough to hear him belt out songs like “Eyes Closed” and “Castle on the Hill.”
Those with a better, frontal view also included Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld, Andy Cohen, Christie Brinkley, James Corden, Anjelica Huston, and Brooke Shields, who was spotted sashaying her way into the venue in a pretty blue dress.
WarnerBros Discovery Ceo David Zaslav, who is currently in the midst of dealing with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike, was also seen at the show.
Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, who sold his company for $500 million and bought it back for $1, tweeted about meeting Howard Stern at the concert.
“He naturally had no clue who I was,” Portnoy wrote, saying Patriots owner Robert Kraft “interrupts,” to fill Stern in on the business deal.
“Then after Kraft turns to me and says ‘us Boston guys need to stick together.’ Moral of the story. We’re winning the fucking Superbowl this year,” Portnoy said.
The good times didn’t end when Sheeran left the stage. Page Six has exclusively learned that the hit maker, Shields, Stern, Mayer and others made their way to Bon Jovi’s house for an after party.
Sadly, this bash was un-crashable.
