All of Elton John‘s rumoured Glastonbury guests appeared on www.walesonline.co.uk by WalesOnline.
Glastonbury Festival 2023 has kicked off proceedings at Worthy Farm in Somerset. This year’s event will be bittersweet for some music lovers as it marks the final UK date of Elton John’s Farewell tour.
The Your Song veteran, 76, has created a brand new show especially for Glastonbury. Chatting to BBC Radio 1 ahead of the gig Elton said that people should “expect the unexpected”. Are you excited to watch? Let us know in the comments.
Over the course of his long career, Sir Elton has collaborated with a whole host of popular artists. The rumour mill has gone into overdrive as to who could be joining him at Glastonbury.

But which special guests will feature? Here’s who’s rumoured:
Taron Egerton
No stranger to singing with Elton, Taron played the music legend in the 2019 biopic Rocketman. Reports suggest that the pair will collaborate once again at Glastonbury.
Taron has also posted a cryptic post to his Instagram, hinting that he might be appearing at Glastonbury – read more about that here.
Dua Lipa
The Levitating songstress recently worked with Elton on Cold Heart. The song was a huge success.
But could Dua be joining Elton on the Pyramid Stage?
Olly Alexander (Years and Years)
Someone else who has recently worked with Elton is singer and actor Olly Alexander, who is better known as Years and Years. Him and Elton performed a special cover of the Pet Shop Boys’ It’s A Sin at the BRIT Awards in 2021.
Eminem
According to Eminem, heand Elton “talk a lot” but will the rapper be making a surprise appearance on stage with Elton? The pair famously performed Stan at the Grammys in 2001.
Ed Sheeran
Christmas… And sausage rolls. That’s the best way to summarise Elton and Ed’s history together so far.
The pair joined forces for the song Merry Christmas in 2021 and in the same year, helped Lad Baby receive another number one Christmas single with a song about sausage rolls.
Lady Gaga
Both Gaga and Elton have a passion for fashion and we’ve no doubt that if they appeared at Glastonbury together, things would be no different.
They have collaborated a number of times, including performing live together at the Grammys in 2010, recording Hello, Hello for the Gnomeo & Juliet film in 2011, performing Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me live in 2016, and creating Sine From Above together in 2020. Gaga has also covered Elton’s track Your Song in 2018 and is the Godmother of his two children Zachary and Elijah.
Harry Styles
Someone else with a wild fashion sense recently came to Cardiff – read our review of Harry Styles’ show here. Elton recently revealed he would “love” to work with the former One Direction star, adding that he is a “great guy”
Kiki Dee
Don’t Go Breaking My Heart was a huge success when it first released in 1976. They reunited on stage to perform the song in Los Angeles in November 2022.
Here’s hoping they do the same at Glastonbury 2023!
Kate Bush
Don’t get too many hopes up for this one as Kate very rarely makes public appearances anymore. That said, she previously released a cover of Elton’s song Rocket Man and was a guest at his wedding and Elton John appeared on her latest album so who knows…
Last year Kate had somewhat of a resurgence after her song Running Up That Hill featured on Netflix’s Stranger Things. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
