Amy Schumer crashes a couple’s wedding photos appeared on en.as.com by Nerissa Rupnarine.
Comedian Amy Schumer surprised a young Brooklyn couple by crashing a few of their wedding photos over the weekend.
The couple was sitting on a bench and clad in their wedding attire when Schumer approached and asked to be in some of the photos before taking a seat next to them. All three were photographed with bright smiles.
The image was posted to the photographer, Yumi’s, Instagram with a caption that reads, “It’s gotta be good luck when @amyschumer crashes your wedding… she just walked up to us and asked to be in some photos.
“Love her even more now.”
Schumer passed on the lead role for ‘Barbie’
‘Barbie’ is an upcoming film directed by Greta Gerwig and starring Margot Robbie. However, before Robbie was attached to the project, Schumer was meant to be featured in the lead role.
Schumer reportedly joined the project in 2016 before leaving in 2017. While originally telling Variety that the reason was due to scheduling conflicts, she would later tell The Hollywood Reporter that it was actually due to creative differences.
“They definitely didn’t want to do it the way I wanted to do it, the only way I was interested in doing it,” she said.
Schumer claimed to have written Barbie to be an ambitious inventor and the studio asked if the invention could be a high heel made of Jell-O.
“The idea that that’s just what every woman must want, right there, I should have gone, ‘You’ve got the wrong gal.’”
This reportedly occurred before Gerwig was brought on to write and direct the film.
A spokesperson for Sony released a statement following Schumer’s exit from the movie.
“We respect and support Amy’s decision. We look forward to bringing ‘Barbie’ to the world and sharing updates on casting and filmmakers soon.”
‘Barbie’ releases in theaters on July 21, 2023.
