Bad Bunny’s team address whether he dissed Harry Styles appeared on en.as.com by Kelsey Rivera.

After it was speculated that Bad Bunny was aiming a diss at Harry Styles’ musical talent, his team has since come out to clarify that no disrespect was meant.

The allegations came during a segment of Bad Bunny’s show on Friday, where the screen filled with tweets during the song ‘El Apagón’.

Astute fans noticed that one of the tweets said “goodnight benito could do as it was but harry could never do el apagon.”

The original tweet has since been deleted.

Bad Bunny’s team confirms he didn’t approve the tweet

A Bad Bunny rep said that the artist himself has not commented on the matter and that he did not have a final say in what tweets would be shown on the screen, with the visual production team, Sturdy.Co, echoing the same sentiment.

On Monday, the company released a statement via Instagram stories, saying:

“Our intention is to create light hearted designs that embody Bad Bunny’s personality and amplify the experience he presents as a performer,” the statement began.

“The request from the artist during the visuals for ‘El Apagón’ performance was to use the image only and not text from the tweet, which we take responsibility for and correct it for Friday’s performance,” they explained.

They reiterated that the visuals are a “celebration of Bad Bunny and his dedication to empowering his native island, Puerto Rico.”

Bad Bunny is a fan of Harry Styles

The offending tweet implied that Bad Bunny could have written Styles’ hit song ‘As It Was’, due to his musical prowess. While Styles could not write Bad Bunny’s fan favorite ‘El Apagón’.

But fans remembered that Bad Bunny actually attended Styles’ concert in Los Angeles in January, making accusations that he was dissing the ‘As It Was’ singer a little far-fetched.

After Styles beat Bad Bunny for Album of the Year at this year’s Grammy Awards, with ‘Harry’s House’ winning over ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’, Bad Bunny ended up becoming the first Latino to win an IFPI award for the album, while Styles came in third place on the IFPI’s Global Album chart for 2022.
