Bruce Springsteen has given an update on the bout of peptic ulcer disease that forced him to postpone his 2023 tour dates into next year.
The Boss resumed his From My Home to Yours SiriusXM radio show “with a bitch of a bellyache.” Joined by musicians Mike Wilson, Mike Domanski, Donnie Powell, and Craig Caprioni, the artist mostly kept things light by discussing subjects like the artists he’d put on a Mount Rushmore of rock bands, but he did address the elephant in the room: his health issues.
“This belly thing, despite my ability to laugh at it, has been a monster and is still, unfortunately, rocking my internal world,” Springsteen said (via Relix). “But it’s better this week than it was last. I want to thank everybody for their support and well wishes.”
In September, Springsteen revealed that he would continue to receive treatment for peptic ulcer disease through the end of the year, and that his scheduled North American shows would instead take place in 2024. Original tickets to the rescheduled shows will be honored at the new dates.
“We will see you in the new year, and we will bring it to you, in your town, at the top of our game,” Springsteen said. “There’s no other way.” Grab tickets to those rescheduled shows here.
Just last month, The Boss shared the single “Addicted to Romance.”
