Cristiano Ronaldo's reaction after child confronts him to say Lionel Messi is better appeared on www.marca.com by LW.
Cristiano Ronaldo went viral Saturday over his reaction to a young child telling him Lionel Messi is a better player. The incident occurred after Al Nassr‘s game on Friday, in which they pulled off a comeback win against Al Baten during 15 minutes of injury time.
Ronaldo, 38, left for the locker room following the 3-1 victory and a boy shouted, “Messi is way better.”
The Portuguese star seemingly ignored the child and simply shouted his displeasure at how the match unfolded.
“And that was the easy game,” Ronaldo said.
Some media outlets have reported that CR7 clapped back at the child by telling him to go watch Messi, which is not the case.
Al Nassr’s questionable win over Al Baten
Al Nassr played at home against Al Baten and the visitors took the lead early on in the contest.
Rudi Garcia‘s side, however, completed a come-from-behind win thanks to three goals in minutes 93, 112 and 114.
The fourth official displayed 12 minutes of injury time as Ronaldo’s side trailed by one, urging many to believe that foul play happened.
Ronaldo did not score and left fuming due to the match’s difficulty. It’s clear that he wants to dominate opponents, not scratch his way into three points.
