It was certainly a Good Friday for Ed Sheeran as he celebrated his beloved team Ipswich Town scoring a goal at Portman Road Stadium on Friday.
The singer, 32, could not contain his joy as he watched his team’s Sky Bet League One match against Wycombe Wanderers in Ipswich.
He embraced his father, John, as the pair enjoyed the triumphant moment together, with his team storming to victory with a 4-0 win.
Ed, who regularly attends matches with his dad, cut a casual figure in a black zipped-necked fleece.
The Shape of You hitmaker covered his flaming red hair in a black and white cap with a orange splashed bear graphic.

Dedicated fan: The Shape of You singer couldn’t hide in the crowd as he cheered on his team
John, in contrast to his son’s dark clothes, wore a bright teal jumper over a navy collared shirt.
Despite his demure attire, Ed couldn’t hide away in the crowd as he flung his arms in the air and cheered.
The outing also served as an opportunity to show-off his new clean shaven look.
He first revealed his beard-free face on Thursday as he filmed a new music video in London.
The Thinking Out Loud songwriter looked transformed after ditching his trademark trimmed beard.
With his baby-face new look, the star appeared almost ten years younger as he wandered the city’s streets for the video.
A nearby pub had been transformed into ‘Bertie’s Diner’ for the video, a likely nod to Ed’s Notting Hill pub Bertie Blossoms.
Other than his makeover, this has been a big week for Ed after he landed his 14th UK number one single with latest track Eyes Closed last Friday.

Ed continued: ‘This album is purely that. It’s opening the trapdoor into my soul. For the first time, I’m not trying to craft an album people will like, I’m merely putting something out that’s honest and true to where I am in my adult life.
‘This is last February’s diary entry and my way of making sense of it. This is Subtract.’
The singer did not provide any further update on his wife’s health.
