Elon Musk to take questions at Twitter staff meeting this week.

Elon Musk is to attend an all-hands meeting of Twitter staff and take questions this week, according to a new report.

From Business Insider:

Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal told workers on Monday that the company will be hosting another all-hands meeting, this time with a guest speaker fielding questions: Elon Musk.

In a brief email viewed by Insider, Agrawal said the virtual meeting with Musk will take place Thursday. Twitter workers will be able to submit questions for him to answer starting Wednesday.

According to the report, Twitter’s head of marketing Leslie Berland will moderate the call and read Musk “select submitted questions.”

As the report notes, there has been a lot of tumultuous internal discourse at Twitter about the prospect of Elon Musk’s takeover, which has been hampered by reports that Twitter’s fake and spam account figures may be much higher than once thought, possibly lowering the platform’s value.

Some workers have reportedly quit or are planning to, while others have raised internal concerns about different issues such as whether Donald Trump should be allowed back on the platform, or if Musk plans to lay off any staff. CEO Agrawal said staff would be able to ask about questions and topics “that have been raised over the past few weeks,” seemingly confirming reports of swirling internal discussions.

Musk has reportedly been given access to a data stream of more than 500 million tweets a day after he said he did not believe Twitter’s own figures about fake accounts. However, leaders in the company are reportedly skeptical that Musk will be able to find anything that Twitter or external auditors haven’t already seen. Twitter is one of the best iPhone apps when it comes to social media on iOS 16 and beyond.
