Elvis’ face appears on couple’s beach towel – leaving them all shook up! appeared on www.dailymail.co.uk by By Madison Burgess.

  • Dawn Dandy, 55, and her husband Nigel were on holiday in Skiathos, Greece
  • They couldn’t believe it when they saw the legend’s face in their beach towel
  • The picture was coincidentally taken on the 46th anniversary of Elvis’ death

A couple couldn’t believe their eyes when they looked at their beach towel, to find Elvis staring back at them.

Dawn Dandy, 55, from Loughborough, and her husband Nigel were on holiday in Skiathos, Greece when they noticed the uncanny resemblance to the music legend.

‘We’d hung the towel up to dry after we’d been sunbathing and were sat on the balcony when I said, ‘There’s a face in that towel,” the kitchen assistant told Metro.

She instantly realised the face looked like none other than the ‘King of rock and roll’ Elvis Presley.

Her husband and daughter agreed, with the family finding it funny because Dawn and Nigel are both huge fans of Elvis.

With ‘suspicious minds,’ the pair both immediately said the silhouette looked like him.

However, the weirdness doesn’t stop there – the picture was taken on August 16, which was a strange coincidence.

Dawn realised it was actually the 46th anniversary of Elvis’ death which she said ‘made it quite special’.

Elvis Presley died in his Graceland mansion in Memphis, Tennessee on August 16 1977 due to heart failure, at 42 years old.

Last year, someone else saw an Elvis Presley-esque silhouette in what appeared to be a packet of ketchup.

Lisa Ringsell, 27, from Dundee, couldn’t believe it when she saw Elvis’ face after dunking her last chicken nugget in the McDonald’s sauce.

Meanwhile, a carpenter was urged to shut up shop and turn his workshop into a place of pilgrimage – after discovering the face of Jesus peering back at him from a kitchen cupboard.

Furniture maker Mat Askham was putting an oil-based finish on the inside of a cupboard he’d been working on when he spotted the face of the son of God staring back at him from the knots in the wood.

The 51-year-old was putting the lacquer onto the ash double-door shaker cupboard to ‘lift’ the detail in the grain when the face emerged.

The image of the Christ-like face apparently shows clearly-defined eyes, a nose, moustache, beard and trademark flowing locks.

Mat, who specialises in bespoke kitchens, immediately took a snap of the six-inch tall holy visage and sent it to family and friends who were stunned by the likeness.
