Eminem celebrated his birthday on Tuesday and fans can’t get over how old the world-famous rapper is.
Born in 1972, the star – real name Marshall Mathers – turned 51 this week, but people are struggling to get their heads around the number, with many thinking he was years younger.
X, formerly known as Twitter, was ablaze on October 17 with birthday messages dedicated to the Without Me hitmaker, with one person writing: ‘Happy birthday to Slim Shady, you wouldn’t say this guy is turning 51 years [old].’
Another social media user exclaimed: ‘Eminem is really 51 years old?!!’ while someone else, equally stunned, echoed, ‘Eminem turned 51, how crazy.’
Other flabbergasted comments included: ‘I can’t believe Eminem turned 51’ and ‘My god Eminem is turning 51.’
Although the A-lister has yet to address the milestone on social media, his friend and frequent collaborator 50 Cent made sure to mark Marshall’s big day with a sweet birthday tribute.
Alongside a photo of himself and Eminem, 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, wrote: ‘Happy Birthday to the living legend @Eminem love you to death man, God bless wishing you many more.’
Eminem lives a pretty private life these days, although he was seen earlier this month at a Detroit Lions game with his daughter Hailie Jade.
The rapper popped up at Ford Field with Hailie and her fiancé, Evan McClintock.
Taking to Instagram, Eminem shared a photo of himself proudly posing in front of the huge crowd as he celebrated his team’s win.
In a video of the day out, he cheered on his team while catching up with Hailie in the stands.
Eminem shares podcaster Hailie with ex-wife Kim Scott, while he also adopted her daughter, Stevie Laine, from her previous relationship.
He legally adopted Kim’s niece, Alaina, in the early 2000s, after her mother struggled with drug use.
In June of this year, Eminem proudly walked Alaina down the aisle when she married her husband Matt Moeller in Detroit, with her sister serving as bridesmaid.
The family has a lot more to celebrate after Hailie announced her engagement to Evan in February, after five years of dating.
‘Casual weekend recap…,’ she wrote on Instagram at the time, showing the moment her soon-to-be-husband got down on one knee.
‘2.4.23 I love you @evanmcclintock11.’
They celebrated their engagement at a fancy party at the end of April, with their loved ones in attendance.
