Fans React To Mike Tyson Training At 56 Years Old appeared on boxing-social.com by Boxing Social.
Mike Tyson never seems far from a boxing ring, despite having hung up the gloves on his professional career back in 2005.
Known by many as one of the greatest heavyweights of all time – certainly the most fearsome – ‘Iron’ Mike became the youngest heavyweight ever to win a world title, a record he holds to this day.
The Brooklyn native called it a day with 50 wins from 58 fights, an incredible 44 of those victories not seeing the final bell.
His trainer-fighter partnership with Cus D’Amato is perhaps one of the most well known in the sport, and together they saw his swarming style intimidate and dominate plenty of opponents.
Since retirement, he’s mellowed and started a successful podcast, as well as popping up on punditry duties for big shows. A brief flirtation with the exhibition circuit saw him lace up and face fellow legend, Roy Jones Jr, back in November of 2020.
The spectacle was showmanship boxing done right, and that was reflected financially too.
Thankfully for fans, Tyson’s time in the ring is spent with pads and headgear now. The latest clip of which sees him put though his paces by Brazilian MMA coach, Rafael Cordeiro.
Cordeiro shared footage on Instagram of the pair working out, including Tyson doing some body work in the ring.

The coach also posted a clip of ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’ hitting the bag and doing some strength training, proving he keeps in incredible shape after a long, hard career.
Fans praised the footage with one calling Tyson’s shots ‘rib breakers’ and another commenting that they could definitely be felt beneath the padding of Cordeiro.
Others commended the 56-year-old’s fitness, and pointed out that he would always be an ‘animal’ in the ring.
Despite still holding a keen passion for the sport, he’s happy to pass the torch to the new generation, recently branding undefeated super middleweight, David Benavidez, as his favourite fighter.
