Free games for PS5 and PS4 confirmed
Following the leaking of May’s free PlayStation Plus games, Sony has gone ahead and confirmed the lineup of free games coming our way next month. As it turns out, the leak was legit and all of the previously speculated games have been confirmed as part of next month’s PS Plus line.
What’s coming to PS Plus in May 2022?
FIFA 22, Tribes of Midgard and Curse of the Dead Gods — all three of which were leaked — comprise the official PS Plus lineup for May 2022. All three games will be available to download beginning Tuesday, May 3.
The PS5 and PS4 versions of both FIFA 22 and Tribes of Midgard included, meaning you can add the version for whichever generation PlayStation you own to your library. And if you own a PS4 but plan on one day upgrading to a PS5, you might as well add the PS5 version now anyway so that you have it. As for Curse of the Dead Gods, it’s the PS4 version, but you should still be able to play it on a PS5.
In addition to the actual game of FIFA 22, PlayStation Plus members will also receive a bonus FIFA 22 FUT Pack. This provides 11 players rated 82 or higher, giving you an instant boost in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team. It also includes an Icon Moments Loan Player Pick, allowing you to choose between three of the best ballers in history to add to your squad for five games.
All three of these games can be claimed until Monday, June 6.
Last chance PS Plus downloads
While a new month means new games, it also means you only have until Monday, May 2 to add April’s PlayStation Plus titles. This includes Hood: Outlaws & Legends, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated and Slay the Spire. Persona 5 is also leaving the PS Plus Collection on May 11, so make sure you add it to your library before then. As long as it’s in your library before it leaves, you’ll always be able to play it as long as you have an active PlayStation Plus subscription.
