‘Ghosts told us to f*** off from haunted Victorian site once home to 250 nuns’ appeared on www.dailystar.co.uk by Daily Star.

Ghost-hunters got a shock when they visited one of the UK’s most haunted buildings and a ghost allegedly swore at them.

The team were investigating The Nunnery in Malvern, Worcestershire, when they claimed to have experienced some rather rude paranormal activity. Tony Ferguson said that the supernatural happenings at the creepy Ranelagh Road premises even made some of the group “feel sick” and desperate to leave.

He added: “That’s the first time of being sworn at by a ghost and was surprised as it’s a nunnery”. The Victorian-era Nunnery, which is about 90 minutes from Birmingham city centre, dates back to 1879, Birmingham Live reports.

Ghost-hunters at a reputedly-haunted convent got more than they bargained for when ‘spirits’ swore at them

It was once home to more than 250 nuns and is known as one of the country’s “most haunted” sites. The building was forced to close in the mid-1980s when numbers dwindled, but it remains a spooky reminder of the past.

Tony and his fellow investigators visited the landmark to see if long-standing claims of the Nunnery and its substantial grounds being haunted were true. The TikTok ghosthunter was joined by Sue Robinson and Tania Louise Baker from Spooks Paranormal, Adam Clark and Jacqueline Dixon from Paranormal Path, and Silent Stones Paranormal.

Natalie, the caretaker of The Nunnery, was showing them around when they started hearing strange noises. Tony explained: “While we were all together in the basement area we all heard a dragging sound above us. Natalie said she had never heard anything like it before.”

He continued: “We then began our investigation and were shocked to hear, tapping noises, banging doors, disembodied voices telling us to “F*** Off” and “Get Out”. We even had responses to some of our questions.”

The group’s eerie experiences at the Nunnery were captured on video. Their devices reportedly responded to paranormal activity with bleeps. Tony described it as a “phenomenal site”.

“We had responses from several devices that we had around the rooms, when asking questions,” added Tony. “We heard footsteps coming up the stairs whilst we were in the upper floors investigating.”

He also mentioned: “We had investigators starting to feel sick and uncomfortable and wanting to leave the room. The Nunnery left us with many things we could not explain.

“Even Natalie was shocked when she heard the dragging noise across the floor as we were all together. She could not offer an explanation for this.”

Tony and his friends aren’t scared off by the spooky happenings at The Nunnery, which hosts regular ghost hunts. Tony confessed: “We were all shocked by the paranormal activity,” but they’re keen to go back for more ghostly encounters.
