One of the 65th Grammy Awards’ most-nominated artists is now performing at the February 5 awards show. Harry Styles will take the stage of the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday.
CBS announced Styles’ upcoming Grammys performance with just one week to spare until the big night, sharing the news in a promo that aired during the AFC Championship game on Sunday, January 29.
Joining the 28-year-old in the 2023 Grammys performer lineup are Bad Bunny, Mary J. Blige, Brandi Carlile, Luke Combs, Steve Lacy, Lizzo, Kim Petras, and Sam Smith.
Styles is also one of six individuals nominated for six Grammy Awards this year. His third studio album, “Harry’s House,” is up for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. And “As It Was” — the lead single from that album — is nominated in the Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Music Video categories.
With those six nods, the former One Direction member tripled his nomination tally for his career so far. At the 2021 Grammys — during which he also performed — Styles had three nominations and one win, taking home the trophy for Best Pop Solo Performance for his song “Watermelon Sugar.”
With any luck, Styles’ Grammys performance will go smoother than his January 26 concert at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, CA, when he split his leather pants at the crotch as he belted out “Music for a Sushi Restaurant.” Even worse for the singer, one of the audience members that night was Jennifer Aniston, Styles’ admitted celebrity crush, according to Entertainment Weekly.
After catching his wardrobe malfunction, Styles apologized to the crowd and covered himself with a pride flag.
Styles completed a sold-out 15-night residency at Madison Square Garden last fall as part of his still-ongoing Love on Tour. The North America leg concludes in February before the “Late Night Talking” singer moves on to Australia, Asia, and Europe.
The 65th Grammy Awards air live on CBS on Sunday, February 5, at 8 p.m. ET, and the show will stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
