Hospital staff march towards the Vatican in support of Pope Francis appeared on www.yahoo.com by Reuters Videos.

STORY: :: Healthcare workers from the hospital where Pope Francis is being treated make a pilgrimage to the Vatican

:: Rome, Italy

:: March 1, 2025

:: Sveva Grippo, Sister, Gemelli Hospital

“I am worried, I have to say this, because we don’t know if pope … recovers. We are praying for him because we don’t know if he could feel better someday. We hope so.

Hundreds of hospital staff holding umbrellas walked down the Via della Conciliazione, a road leading up to St Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican, praying for Pope Francis.

The pilgrimage was part of the Jubilee Audience with the pope, which was cancelled after he had been in hospital for just over two weeks fighting double pneumonia.

On Saturday morning the Vatican said the pope had a peaceful night and had been resting after a health setback the day before.

The 88-year-old pontiff experienced a breathing crisis on Friday (February 28), renewing concerns over his well-being.

A Vatican official, who did not wish to be named because he was not authorized to discuss the pope’s health, said Francis had not had another respiratory crisis since then.
