It’s been over a half-decade since John Cena and Nikki Bella called off their wedding and separated. Today, Bella is a top reality TV star while The Cenation Leader is making a name in Hollywood. However, once the 39-year-old revealed how her s*x scene with Amy Schumer made her life miserable.

Cena acted in the movie 2015 Trainwreck while he was making a name for himself in Hollywood. Surprisingly, this movie made his ex-fiancee’s life miserable.

Nikki Bella wasn’t happy with John Cena

In season three, Episode Eight of Total Divas released in July 2018. In that episode, Nikki Bella revealed how Cena’s s*x scene with Schumer made her uncomfortable.

The former Divas Champion said, “Imagine watching your man do a sex scene and have the world see his big butt. You know you get visuals. I swear, I couldn’t masturbate forever because I just think of that scene.”

Nevertheless, Cena shed a light on the scene in his 2016’s appearance on Conan O’ Brian’s show. He said, “Honestly, I didn’t think I’d get the part and I kept putting it off, not telling Nicole and not having the discussion of, ‘Hey, there may be some graphic scenes,” 

The 16-time world champion added, “So, I got it. And I couldn’t say no. So I kind of walked in one day and was like, ‘Hey, I’m kind of just doing this,’ and that was the wrong approach.”

Bella shared these thoughts sometime after her break-up with Cena. Moreover, after they broke up, the Bella twin shared a post on Instagram stating the reason for their breakup. The WWE legend didn’t want to have children, which led to their breakup in early 2018. 

Despite a heartbreaking break-up, both wrestling stars have moved onto greener pastures.

Cena and Bella later moved on

The WWE Legend and the WWE Hall of Famer reportedly started dating in 2012 while working at Vince McMahon’s company. Cena even proposed to Bella at WrestleMania 33 after their mixed tag team matches against the ‘IT Couple’, The Miz and Maryse.

However, they broke off in 2018 and then went their separate ways in life. In January 2019, it was reported that Bella has started dating her Dancing with the Stars partner Artem Chigvintsev, while Cena started dating Shay Shariatzadeh whom he met in Canada filming Playing with Fire.

The Franchise Player got married to his girlfriend Shariatzadeh in October 2020, in a private ceremony. Moreover, Bella and Chigvintsev tied the knot in August 2022. They also have a son born in July 2021 named Matteo Artemovich Chigvintsev. It is suffice to say that both wrestling stars are content in their lives.
