From a steep rise in Russian crude share to easing inflows from Africa and the Middle East, the Ukraine war has brought about dramatic changes to the palate of China’s independent refining sector. While this reflects the growing importance of China as a key trading partner for Moscow, it has become a matter of concern for other suppliers who fear an erosion of their share in Asia’s top oil consumer.
