Invest like Nancy Pelosi: Former House Speaker sold 10,000 Nvidia shares just weeks before DeepSeek caused rout appeared on economictimes.indiatimes.com by The Feed.

It looks like US investors need to take classes from former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, as she sold a bulk of investments made into Nvidia, and a couple of weeks later, the share prices of the company took a major dive owing to the market rout caused by DeepSeek AI.

DeepSeek ensues market rout on AI companies in US

DeepSeek AI has become a thorn in the side of US-based AI companies over the last week, especially due to the fact that there was a major market rout as soon as DeepSeek R1 was out in the AI market for the entire world to use.

The AI models by DeepSeek AI raised questions about the profitability of AI investments in the United States, as these latest China-made models were engineered at much less expense, but equally powerful as other AI chatbots such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google’s Gemini, and more.

Nancy Pelosi‘s wonderful judgment amazes US investors

However, even before this market rout, Pelosi reportedly understood any incoming threat to Nvidia shares, and sold a bulk of her investments into the company, dumping nearly 10,000 shares worth between $1 million and $5 million, on New Year’s Eve, according to a Daily Express US report. If this was not all, she also got rid of 31,600 Apple shares in her portfolio, which could be valued somewhere around the range of $5 million and $25 million. Interestingly, Apple’s shares also slumped after DeepSeek entered the AI market.
