‘It’s electric’: Fans from near and far attend Bruce Springsteen‘s sold out Fiserv Forum show appeared on www.cbs58.com by CBS58.
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Fiserv kicked off a new season of concerts Tuesday night with Bruce Springsteen‘s sold out show.
Our own photojournalist, Kyle Vincent, got inside the show and said it was electric in there. We got permission to show you some of what we saw.
It’s “The Boss.” He’s 73 now and still drawing sold out crowds with more than 17,000 fans watching him at Fiserv.
Fans tell us the show’s incredible and his energy the same as ever, exactly what they hoped for.
A cold wind throughout the day didn’t cool off the excitement for fans with hungry hearts. Those with general admission tickets for Bruce Springsteen started lining up at 7:30 a.m. from near and far.

“Super excited. We’ve been waiting for such a long time, so it’s here and we’ll tolerate the cold because we’re all friends here,” said Steve Herro, fan from Oconomowoc.
Hans Kern takes the prize for traveling the greatest distance. He lives near Frankfort — Frankfort, Germany, that is.
“It’s just the music, the songs and the energy the band is bringing,” Kern said. “And being with all those guys and gals, because we all feel the same.”
Boomboxes with Bruce’s biggest hits blared outside Fiserv Forum as they prepared to be dancing in the dark.
“What are your favorite songs?”
“Born to Run is number two,” said Richard Pawlaczyk from Kenosha. “Yep, and then Glory Days.”
Fans passed the hours by sharing a beer or two, some hand warmers and stories from the glory days. One guy had an entire sleeve of Bruce’s faces.

“It’s electric. It’s amazing, and it’s worth all the effort I have to put in,” said Mark Kistulinec, fan from Atlanta.
Kistulinec was first in line.
“I have seen about 89 shows, and five this year. He’s matured and he’s talked about more mature themes. And now he’s talking a lot about life and mortality and life and death and the people he’s missing,” said Kistulinec.
We saw seats online at up to $1,800 and general admission prices for $350 where it’s first-come, first-served.
“And that now means I will be elbows on the stage and that’s as cool as it gets,” said Grace Lloyd, fan from Chicago.
“And we’ve been in the front row the last four times, and we don’t want to be anything but first row,” said Mariah Marks Erickson, from St. Paul, Minnesota.
Springsteen’s sold out show is a big boost for Fiserv following a successful weekend here, where Marquette and the Bucks each had over 18,000. Combined, it was the largest double header in the history of Fiserv.
