FOURTEEN-YEAR-OLD singer Kairo McLean has the new number one song on the Rebel Vibez Top Ten Canadian Reggae chart with In the Streets.

McLean, who is from Brampton in Ontario, is of Jamaican parentage. The high school student won the JUNO Award for Reggae Recording of the Year last year for Easy Now.

In the Streets was produced by Soul Survival Recordz. It was released last October and is nominated in the 2023 JUNO Awards for Reggae Recording of the Year. McLean has another nomination in that category. He is featured on Reggae Party by Kirk Diamond and Finn.

In the Cayman Islands, Hot 104.1 FM is reporting that its number one most requested song for the past week is Masicka’s Feisty. Hard Fete by Bunji Garlin is at number two, while People by Lesbianka is three. Every Time by Jah Cure featuring Stonebwoy is four, while Don’t Run by Shaggy featuring KES is number five.

On the South Florida Reggae chart, Kashief Lindo’s Coldest Days of My Life spends another week at number one.

JC Lodge’s Love Uprising steps up from four to two, while New Babylon by Wayne Armond rises from 13 to 10.

New entries this week are Satisfy My Soul (Tribute to Bob Marley) by Novel-T (number 22), while Smile Today by Hezron enters at number 23.

La La by female act Worl-A-Girl takes over the number one spot on the Foundation Radio Network (New York) Reggae chart, while Double for My Troubles by Richie Stephens and Sanchez bolts from 11 to six.

George Nooks’s God is Amazing (number 28) and El Shaddai by Naomi Cowan (number 30) are this week’s new entries.

On the streaming and sales-driven Billboard Reggae chart, Bob Marley and the Wailers clock 162 non-consecutive weeks in the number one spot with Legend.

Shaggy’s Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection is steady at two, as is Dutty Classics Collection by Sean Paul at three.

Rising two spots to number four is U40’s Greatest Hits, while Wisdom and World on Fire by Stick Figure are five and six, respectively.

Popcaan’s Great is He dips three places to seven, Set in Stone by Stick Figure is firm at eight, and Outside by Burna Boy and Welcome to Jamrock by Damian “Jr Gong” Marley are nine and 10, respectively.
