Kane Brown Reveals His Recent Songs Are Inspired by Mental Health Struggles appeared on www.musictimes.com by Music Times.

Kane Brown opened up about why he has been writing and performing darker songs.

Brown has a full-packed schedule in the next few months. He is about to work with Kelsea Ballerini and co-host the CMT Music Awards. The singer will also mark his acting debut in “Fire Country” on CBS.

As for his music career, he recently marked a milestone with his wife, Katelyn, following the release of the No. 1 song, “Thank God.”

Amid the success, Brown previously revealed that his fans should expect to hear songs about mental health challenges soon.

In his previous interview with ET Canada, the 29-year-old “Used to Love You Sober” singer revealed that he has been writing a lot of music recently. He added that he has been working on songs about mental health struggles, making them sound “darker.”

“And then I have a song called ‘Learning,’ that I went a little bit more in depth over the stuff that I went through, so I’m really excited about the music that we’re writing right now,” he continued.

Brown said he felt more comfortable sharing stories about the matter after years of being part of the music industry. He added that having more people talk about it, as well, makes it for others to speak about it.

Due to his depression and anxiety, he decided to take hiatus from music. When he returned, he dropped “Memory,” which talks about his mental health struggles and how he escapes from pain.

Kane Brown Gets Support From His Kids

Apart from being a singer, Brown also stays a dedicated father to his daughters, Kingsley Rose, 3, and Kodi Jane, 1.

He revealed that he gets the best feeling in the world whenever he hears “I love you, Dad” from them while playing and running the house.

The singer revealed that his music can stop his younger daughter from crying. According to Brown, “Thank God” immediately stops their one-year-old by seemingly making her feel better.

The same song became his ninth No. 1 in his career.

Brown started his career in 2014 by releasing several hit covers of songs by Alan Jackson, Brantley Gilbert, Bill Currington, and more. He soon signed to Zone 4 the same year and dropped his six-song EP.

As a musician, Brown already savored several accolades, including Favorite Country Male Artist, Favorite Country Album, and Favorite Country Song from the American Music Awards and Most Jaw-Dropping Performance of 2018 and Best Country Album from the Taste of Country Fan Choice Awards.
