Kenny Chesney Drops Mysterious Teaser: Is A Tour With Zac Brown Band, Megan Moroney, And Uncle Kracker In The Works? appeared on countrynow.com by Country Now.
Is Kenny Chesney teasing a 2024 tour with Zac Brown Band, Megan Moroney, and Uncle Kracker? Fans certainly seem to think so.
The country superstar generated quite a bit of enthusiasm among his fanbase, known as No Shoes Nation, on Wednesday morning when he shared an elusive video clip to his social media feed. The video shows two empty chairs at the end of a dock overlooking a serene view of the ocean. As clouds pass by and the sun begins to set, snippets of four songs play: Kenny Chesney and Uncle Kracker’s “When The Sun Goes Down,” Zac Brown Band’s “Toes,” Megan Moroney’s “She Ain’t Pretty,” and Uncle Kracker’s “Smile.”
Post Garnered Attention From Fans
Fans flocked to the comments section of Chesney’s post to demand answers.
“Kenny what is this,” someone wrote, while another questioned, “OH MY GOD KENNY WHAT’S HAPPENING?”
Others guessed, “LFG! Kenny, ZBB and Megan! ??” and “omg is this the line up for the tour?”
Many presumed this is in fact a tour teaser and pleaded with the East Tennessee native to make a stop in their city. Chesney has yet to confirm exactly what the video means.
Previously Toured With ZBB
Chesney and Zac Brown Band have previously shared the stage together. In 2011, the artists co-headlined the Goin’ Coastal Tour together, and the opening act on that trek was none other than Uncle Kracker.
If fans are correct in thinking, the upcoming trek would be the follow-up to 2023’s I Go Back Tour, which brought him to smaller venues in cities where he played while making his way to the top of his game in the country music genre.
Will He Return To Stadiums?
2024 will likely find the eight-time Entertainer of the Year returning to stadiums, which is his no stranger to. In 2022, he brought his Here And Now Tour to 21 NFL stadiums across the country. He is the only country artist to make Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Acts of the Past 25 Years for the last 14 and shows no signs of slowing down.
In addition to a 2024 tour, fans are also anticipating a new album from Chesney. His last project, Here And Now, arrived in 2020. It’s safe to say that after three years, fans are itching for new music from the “King of Summer.”
New Album In The Works
When discussing new music with Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton during this year’s Country Radio Seminar, Chesney acknowledged his next project and pointed out that there’s a lot weighing on it.
“The next record is important — they are all important. No matter who you are or where you’re at in your career arc, every album is important,” Chesney said during the interview panel. “You want somebody to do something, you want somebody to be happy, you want somebody to chase their own dreams because of your music.”
In a separate interview, when discussing his new music with Audacy’s Katie Neal, Chesney shared, “The one thing I can say about it [new music] is it’s still in motion. People ask me when it’s going to come out and the best answer I have is, ‘When it’s done.’”
He continued, “It’s easy to rush it and it’s easy to put music out when people think it might be time, but I think I’ve earned the right to get it right. I mean, I love it now, but I want to be in love.”
Fans will have to stay tuned to his social media accounts for the latest music and tour news.
