Kylian Mbappe Can’t Win Without Lionel Messi: French Soccer Legend – Sportsmanor appeared on www.sportsmanor.com by Sportsmanor.

Kylian Mbappe is without a doubt one of the most feared attackers on the planet at this moment. He has proven both for his club and country simultaneously. But it seems like his own countrymen don’t really have full faith in him. A recent comment by a France soccer legend won’t make Kylian Mbappe happy.

Mbappe won the Golden Boot in the World Cup as the top scorer, as he scored 8 goals in 7 World Cup matches. He has been in very fine form for PSG as well. Mbappe is currently sitting on 25 goals and 2 assists in just 27 matches for the French champions. A few days ago, he captained the team for the first time and scored 5 goals in one match of the Coupe de France.

However, it seems like the PSG star couldn’t impress Thierry Henry. This story goes back to early January. The club seasons were just resuming everywhere around the world and the players who went for World Cup duties were mostly back to the clubs. PSG had it’s most of the players back, except Lionel Messi. The Argentine was celebrating his World Cup win back in Argentina with his teammates.

The first match PSG had after the World Cup break was against RC Lens. Neymar and Mbappe couldn’t stop a 3-1 shock Reims win. In the post-match Thierry Henry said, “I think Kylian Mbappe wants to win everything. He wants to win it all but then he needs a certain Leo Messi,” after PSG was convincingly beaten by RC Lens.

Thierry Henry added more to it by praising Lionel Messi in his post-match presentation. He said, “The best footballer I ever played with I always say Dennis Bergkamp. Because. Me with Leo (Messi) sometimes, seriously, I wonder if he is a human,” talking about him playing alongside Messi at the twilight stages of his career.

Do Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe share a good bond?

Mbappe has always been a top professional even at this age and naturally didn’t make any comments in reply to Henry’s comments. And the other man involved in the comment is Lionel Messi. He has always dodged any sort of controversial question or comment completely.

Soccer fans were worried about Lionel Messi’s greet at the French capital, as his two goals were responsible for France’s final defeat. Also, Leo was present by Martinez’s side when he mocked Mbappe with a dummy in front of the world. Of course, Messi didn’t join Martinez’s distasteful mockery, but he also didn’t make an attempt to stop him.

Since all these speculations, Lionel Messi has come back to the French capital and received a very heartiest welcome. They traveled together for a tour to Saudi Arabia and played and won against Cristiano Ronaldo’s team. Last night however, a full-stacked PSG side was stopped by Reims by a 1-1 scoreline in a Ligue 1 encounter.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if Messi and Mbappe are friends or not, they have enough respect for each other as top-notch professionals. And Thierry Henry’s comments will do no harm to their mutual respect.
