Lionel Messi reacts to his most iconic goals, he’s so casual about it all appeared on www.sportbible.com by Jack Kenmare.
Lionel Messi sat down and watched back some of his greatest goals in a fascinating segment on Argentine TV.
The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner has netted a quite remarkable 794 goals for Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and the Argentina national team during his 20-year career.
It would take an age to sift through every one, but the guys at FOX Sports wanted to get Messi’s immediate reaction to some of his most iconic finishes – and thank god they did.
Plenty of viewers have commented on his humble reactions to many of the goals, including that solo effort against Getafe in the first leg of the 2006/07 Copa del Rey semi-final. Remember this?

Messi also reacts to chipping Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia in April 2010, when he scored a hat-trick during the Champions League quarter-final second-leg at the Nou Camp.
But rather than point out his finish, the Argentine immediately points to Andres Iniesta’s assist for the goal.
He proceeds to commentate over that memorable solo goal against Real Madrid in 2011 – where he calls Sergio Ramos a “tough player” to play against – as well as a memorable strike against Brazil.
Messi has reacted to several moments from his career in the past, including the time he captained Argentina to Copa America glory after over a decade of failure with his national side.
Back in 2021, a victory over Brazil in the final gave him his first trophy as an international – something that meant the world to him.
The usually-reserved Messi celebrated wildly inside the Maracana Stadium and two months later, he broke down in tears after presenting the trophy at an Argentina home game for the first time.
Argentina’s victory in the Copa America is the subject of a Netflix documentary, where Messi was given the chance to relive that moment in the show.

After seeing footage of fans chanting his name, the winger smiles before rubbing his eyes. “Wow,” he said. “I think this was the most beautiful thing that happened to me in my sports career.”
We reckon last winter’s World Cup win might edge that moment now.
