Live from Lollapalooza 2023: Listen to the interviews appeared on www.audacy.com by audacy.

It was another big weekend for Lollapalooza this year! The four-day music festival took place in Chicago’s Grant Park and brought out over 170 artists ranging across all genres from Kendrick Lamar to Billie Eilish and Noah Kahan to A Boogie Wit da Hoodie. And our very own Julia and Bru had the pleasure of chopping it up with a few of the artists performing this past weekend.

Noah Kahan stopped by backstage to chat with Julia and Bru to discuss what he’s been up to, revealing some crazy stories, and answer some obscure questions.

Since the release of ‘Stick Season,’ he admitted that he’s been making attempts to upgrade his wardrobe and is thinking about fostering his own clothing line which he would call “Stain’d.” A perfect idea considering his own style, the clothing line would offer “really nice high end designer clothes that just have like disgusting ketchup stains all on it,” he said.

In a shocking reveal, he admitted that he had a scatological issue mid-performance in Charlottesville, which led the three to talking about “getting a diaper for artists that they can wear on stage” so they can play their show and not worry about “s*****g over everybody.”

Before taking the stage for her Sunday performance at the festival, Maise Peters stopped by to talk about working with Ed Sheeran.

“He is actually such a sweet prince,” Maise said, as she continued to give Ed praise. She revealed that he has helped her so much musically and has taught her to trust her gut as he does his own. “I feel like Ed commits to whatever he’s doing,” she said.

Thinking about the differences between festivals and concerts, she said “I love festivals, I love the spontaneity of them,” while she does still love concerts, she has a particular knack of being exposed to people who aren’t already a part of her fan base.

Sofi Tukker joined Bru and Julia to talk about WET TENNIS as an album and clothing line. When asked about the inspiration behind it all, Tucker responded “just like us, our music, our album, especially this one. The last album we made was called WET TENNIS and then we launched this like apparel line alongside it,” Sophie chimed in to say “we were wearing this gradient color tennis outfit on the album cover and we were like whoa wait we want to actually make this so that other people could wear it too, and then we were designing the stage outfit and I started wearing those pants and then the same thing happened where everyone was like ‘where’d you get your pants from’ and I was like ‘there one of a kind but hold on a second let me share the love.'”

She continued that they’re excited for future projects as the WET TENNIS universe is “evolving.”
