Louis CK: Jay Leno supported me during misconduct allegations appeared on lastnighton.com by Last Night On.
Louis CK revealed recently on The Joe Rogan Experience that Jay Leno gave him support amid his sexual misconduct controversy in 2017.
After five women accused Louis CK of sexual misconduct, the comedian went into hiding. In 2018, the comedian made headlines once again after one a recent stand up gig was leaked online.
Just three years later, the comedian has released two new stand up comedy specials and has now embarked on a promotional tour for his new movie, Fourth of July.
Sitting down with Joe Rogan this month, the comedian revealed the helping hand Jay Leno had given him whilst facing brutal backlash.
“When I had my bad time, I thought I’m not going to hear from Jay again, and he called me,” CK told Rogan.
“He said, ‘Hey man, hope you’re doing okay. Everybody loves you, you’re doing okay’. He’s never not been there.”
Louis CK: “Acceptance” got me through controversy
Louis CK revealed more on his 2017 controversy on the YMH podcast this week. The comedian detailed the way in which he coped through the year-long scandal. CK told hosts, Tom Segura and Christina Pazsitsky, it was his “acceptance” of the situation which provided personal relief.
“You just gotta go, okay, everyday see how you get through this day. And, it’s not going to be better tomorrow’ That’s the hardest thing. Tomorrow’s not going to be better,” he said.
“It’s just going to suck, suck, suck, suck, suck..”
Louis CK’s newest picture, starring amateur comedian, Joe List, currently sits at a 7.2/10 on IMDb, alongside a more harsh rating of 30% over at Rotten Tomatoes. One Wall Street Journal review described the movie as “having no plot”, whilst others have described it as “watchable”.
It seems CK’s stand-up will always take central stage over his attempts in film and television production. That’s aside from the masterpiece that is Horace and Pete.
