Welcome back for this week’s edition of Dollar Bin Digging where I spotlight a few books to keep an eye out for to snag on the cheap.
This week, I look at some more fun speculation related to the recent news, leaks, rumors, theories, and announcements. Topics ranging from Braniac to X-Men to Spawn and more. Just some more fun books to hunt for cheap based on Marvel, DC comics, and some Independent news.

As I always say, Comics should be fun; and I want to provide content that keeps this hobby the good time that it should be. Anyway, if you follow my IG, then you may have seen some of these pick-ups before as I typically share my pick-ups there when they happen. Check it out if you like seeing more books than I cover here. So, without further ado, let’s see what you should be looking out for in those bins…
First Up:

X-Men #188The characters only show up briefly, and not all are named yet, but this issue is the 1st Children of the Vault. You want a bit more than cover yourself grabbing 189 as well, but its interesting to not only see these mutant rivals back, but getting their own mini series. We’ll see if anything more comes from it, but a bigger profile can’t hurt the 1st appearance.

Thor #319Rumors are floating around that this obscure Thor villain may show up in season 2 of Loki as folks are pointing out easter eggs for the character of Zaniac in the Loki trailer. This is one of those weird Thor “filler” books that no one cared about yesterday, but a rumor gets folks digging. Yeah he looks like a hippie hulk mr. hyde, but we’ve seen weirder, right?

Spawn #5So at SDCC Todd McFarlane announced a few new Spawn related comic titles. Yes another Gunslinger Spawn (like we need that), and title featuring Misery, and something called No Home here that has ties to this despicable villain from the original Spawn run, Billy Kincaid. His 1st appearance was in the 5th issue which has a pretty solid cover and still a huge print run, so there ae copies still filling boxes out there.

Action Comics #866-870Recent tweets from James Gunn tease that Brainiac might be the big bad in the new Superman movie. Apart from Superman Birthright and All Star Superman, Gunn mentioned this run as inspiration for the film. And Brainiac happens to be the villain featured in this run. Its a solid read from Geoff Johns and its worth grabbing if you dig them out of boxes. Also note that #870 has a variant cover so look for either when digging. There are also 2nd prints for some of the issues as well.
