Mike Tyson Names The Hardest Opponent For David Benavidez: “He Can Knock Anybody Out” – Seconds Out appeared on www.secondsout.com by Seconds Out.

Fans are still unsure as to whether they will ever see the super-middleweight showdown between David Benavidez and Saul ‘Canelo‘ Alvarez.

Benavidez has been calling for his shot at Canelo for years but, even though he is in the WBC mandatory position, the fight still seems some way away.

Canelo has previously dismissed the match-up, claiming all the ‘Mexican Monster’ brings to the table is an extra 25lbs come fight night and has demanded a purse of at least $150m to make it happen.

Although Canelo holds all the belts at 168, legendary former heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson, told Fight Hub TV that another man would give Benavidez his toughest fight at the weight – David Morrell.

“Benavidez is very exciting, I like the way he fights, he throws a lot of punches, it’s going to be tough to beat him.

Listen the toughest fight he may have is [David] Morrell, the Cuban guy, he’s a very hard puncher, if he hits somebody he can knock anybody out.

Benavidez is a really good boxer when he wants to be, he slugs a lot but he’s a real good boxer.”

Morrell is the current WBA regular super-middleweight champion and is arguably one of the biggest punchers in the sport. He boasts a perfect record of 10 wins from 10 fights with 9 coming by way of knockout.

Benavidez grew tired of waiting for Canelo and moved up to light-heavyweight for his last outing – cruising to a unanimous decision victory against former champion, Oleksandr Gvozdyk.

The 27-year-old now has to decide whether to move back down and maintain his WBC mandatory position, or stay at 175 and be first in line for the winner of the undisputed fight between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol.

Like his rival, Morrell will make his 175 debut against Radivoje Kalajdzic next month.
