Morgan Wallen falls on stage in Kentucky, makes ‘Yikes!’ face for fans appeared on www.al.com by Mary Colurso | mcolurso@al.com.
Country star Morgan Wallen got tripped up during a show in Kentucky, falling on stage but recovering quickly from the tumble.
Wallen, performing on Thursday at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, had problems navigating a stage filled with smoke due to special effects at the concert. He jumped up within seconds after falling, though, and made a humorous face for concertgoers that seemed to say, “Yikes, that was close!” Wallen’s fall, and his reaction to it, were captured on videos posted by media outlets such as TMZ, Billboard and Taste of Country (who dubbed the star “Morgan Fallen”).
A TikTok video by @wadepoor provides a clear view of Wallen’s face after the fall, interacting with fans down front. (”That face made right after,” the TikTok post says.) As of Saturday afternoon, the video has about 25,500 views.
On the plus side, Wallen barely lost a beat during the mishap, continuing to sing “Heartless,” a song released in 2019 with Diplo. According to Setlist.fm, “Heartless” was the first tune performed by Wallen during a three-song encore, so the fall happened near the end of the concert.
Wallen, 29, is touring on “One Thing at a Time,” a new double album that’s held the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 album chart for six weeks in a row. There’s been no word from the singer or his team on Thursday’s incident, so Wallen appears to have suffered no injuries and taken his fall in stride. (”Next time don’t put so much smoke on the stage,” Wallen said at the Louisville show, according to Taste of Country.)

Wallen is set to perform on Saturday and Sunday, April 22-23, at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, MIssissippi. Wallen’s “One Night at a Time World Tour” includes opening acts Hardy, Ernest and Bailey Zimmerman.
