Most Difficult Trophies To Unlock From September 2022’s Games appeared on gamerant.com by Game Rant.
Trophy hunting is a popular pastime for many PlayStation owners, with gamers often having different goals when gathering achievements. Some players only hunt for Trophies in the games they adore, while others seek to have the most Trophies possible and jump on easy Trophy games as soon as they appear. Though it can be a big challenge, some gamers also strive to collect the most difficult Trophies possible, priding themselves on having the rarest accolades.
For the difficult Trophies in September 2022’s games, PlayStation users are mainly looking at massive grinds as opposed to anything brutally challenging. Given how big the hour requirements are for the Trophies in question, players aiming to get the Platinum in some of the following titles will be in for a lot of work. For those seeking to have an impressive Trophy case, though, that effort may be worth it.
Most Difficult Trophies in September 2022’s PS Plus Games
While Toem serves as a super easy list for players in search of a quick Platinum Trophy, two other games were on offer last month. Need For Speed Heat features a fairly easy list, though it will take a fair bit of time to complete. The estimated time requirement for the Platinum Trophy is 35 hours, with most of that being thanks to the “Be The Very Best” Trophy. This achievement tasks gamers with completing a total of 435 activities and collectibles, with 3 stars required for all the activities. While nothing is overly difficult with an upgraded vehicle, this is a bit of a time investment, and could be a bit much for those that are not invested in the Need for Speed series.
The other PlayStation Plus title, Granblue Fantasy Versus, has a mostly easy list that can be finished in about 25 hours. However, the “Hot Enough For You” Trophy could prove problematic, as it asks players to get an online win. While only one victory is required, there is always a chance players are paired with opponents that are extremely good at the game, struggling to get that one victory. Further, gamers will want to get this Trophy out of the way sooner rather than later. If the game loses popularity in a few years’ time, the servers could end up empty, leaving players locked out of this achievement. As such, getting it done now while the game has a player boost from PS Plus would be ideal.
Most Difficult Trophies in September 2022’s New Game Releases
The NBA 2K franchise has a reputation for painfully grindy Trophy lists, and unfortunately, NBA 2K23 has continued this trend. Despite releasing near the start of September, the Platinum has yet to be earned at the time of writing, with the Trophy “Level Up” still listed as having a 0% earn rate on PSNProfiles. For this Trophy, gamers need to reach level 40 in one MyTEAM session, though there are other brutal tasks on the list. “Bet on Woman” asks players to spend an absurd amount of time with the W, as they need to reach tier 10 with all five pillars. Though some players will likely be okay with spending dozens and dozens of hours engaging with the game’s WNBA content, the grind will be far too much for most.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is a similarly grindy experience as far as Trophies are concerned. For starters, the Platinum is currently impossible to earn, as players have to make 30 Disney Dreamlight Valley houses for “Renovator” – a task that is currently impossible given the limited number of characters available in early access. Beyond that, though, there are some huge grinds. Players need to start 1,000 conversations for “Chit Chatter,” complete 1,100 Dream Duty tasks for “Duty Bound,” and remove 3,000 thorns for “Thorn Clearer.” All of these tasks will take a long time to complete, though “Thorn Clearer” may be the most demanding, as players can only remove around 10 new thorns a day.
Lastly, the soulslike game Steelrising offers one fairly tough Trophy to work on. Completionist is a gold Trophy that tasks gamers with getting through the game without using the Oil Burette, the main healing tool that they have in their inventory. Fortunately, there are other healing items in the form of Oil Vials, with the amount of Vials being so generous that skilled players should have no issue relying on them exclusively for their playthrough. Still, generous or not, there is a limited number of them available, meaning gamers can run out if they are not careful. Though Steelrising and this achievement are very manageable for fans of Dark Souls and similar games, this is a fairly difficult task that moves away from September’s theme of grindy PlayStation Trophies.
