Think you’re a brain teaser buff? Think again.

You’ll need to be pretty observant to find the broom hidden among the clutter in this baffling brain teaser. Released by Hammonds Fitted Furniture, this puzzle shows a huge heap of clothes lying on the floor, including a colourful range of jumpers, dresses and t-shirts.

While it usually takes an average person one minute to solve this puzzle, a staggering one in three admit to giving up on it altogether. This is primarily due to the sheer contrast in colours – and staring at them for too long may even leave you feeling a little overwhelmed.

The puzzle also serves as a stark spring cleaning reminder. Perhaps it’s time for you to clear out some gone-off tins and jars or even do some laundry as we look forward to the May bank holiday next week.

Experts suggest you can use natural ingredients to get these jobs done too – and you probably already have them in your kitchen cupboard. Baking soda and vinegar for instance, are key for banishing stains in both socks and t-shirts, while others say cheap detergent works like a charm.

This even includes annoyingly stubborn sweat stains which often occur when chemicals in our deodorants react with sweat, according to Vanish, the UK’s leading stain remover brand.

Believe it or not, vinegar and baking soda can even be used to clean your washing machine too, according to experts at AEG. While a whopping 21% of Brits have never bothered to scrub their drum, the firm says cleaning is vital to ensuring your machine lasts a long time.

Michael Forbes, a product specialist at AEG, recently said: “For the best results, washing machine cleaner should be added to the drum of the machine however, a cup of bicarbonate of soda mixed with half a cup of white vinegar can also be used.

“Set the machine to its highest temperature wash, or if your machine has one use the cleaning cycle which will allow the cleaner to fully purge the machine of any bacteria build-up.”

Have you managed to solve the puzzle yet? If you’re stuck, it may help to know that the broom isn’t exactly the colour you might expect.

Still haven’t got it? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. Scroll down to find out the answer but, be warned, you’ll probably kick yourself once you see it.
