“My experiences in relationships have been cursed”: Selena Gomez Hints She “Never Really Felt Equal” in Justin Bieber Relationship, Channeled it into Her Music – Animated Times appeared on www.animatedtimes.com by Animated Times.

“I think most of my experiences in relationships have been cursed. I’ve been way too young to be exposed to certain things when I was in relationships. I guess I needed to find what was that word for me, because I felt so less than in past relationships, and never really felt equal.”

She further revealed how the whole thing ties up with the name of her makeup brand and the 2020 album of the same name.

Gomez was also in an interview with NPR in 2o20, while promoting her album Rare and especially the song, Lose You to Love Me. It was then that she opened up about the “emotional abuse” that she went through while being romantically involved with the Yummy singer. She confessed,

“It’s dangerous to stay in a victim mentality. And I’m not being disrespectful, I do feel I was a victim to certain abuse.”

The Monte Carlo actress was then asked if by abuse she meant, ’emotional abuse’, to which she replied,

“Yes, and I think that it’s something that — I had to find a way to understand it as an adult… As much as I definitely don’t want to spend the rest of my life talking about this, I am really proud that I can say I feel the strongest I’ve ever felt and I’ve found a way to just walk through it with as much grace as possible.”

In November this year, Gomez came out with a documentary film, Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me, that narrates the ordeals she went through over the last 6 years. The documentary is currently streaming on Apple TV.
